At Active Health Physical Therapy, we are taking all necessary steps based on CDC recommendations to ensure the highest level of safety for all patients and employees against potential infection of coronavirus.
These measures include but are not limited to symptom checking, new check-in procedures, personal protective equipment, cleaning/sanitizing and physical distancing.
Symptom Checking
Please call the office prior to entering our clinic if you have had any of the following symptoms within.
- Fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Chills
- Muscle pain
- Headache
- Sore throat
- New loss of taste or smell
- Rash/Hives
Check in procedures
Upon entering the clinic all employees and patients will be required to use hand sanitizer or wash their hands for at least 20 seconds.
Non-Touch Digital Thermometer
A fever is a common symptom of Covid 19. Therefore, every person entering our clinic will have their temperature checked.
Personal Protective Equipment
Based on the CDC protocol, all employees will utilize during their session to decrease exposure to potential infection. If you are not able to obtain a face mask or face covering, then we will provide them to you upon your arrival.
Cleaning
All high traffic areas (doorknobs, light switches, counters) will be wiped down regularly. In between patients, all equipment will be sanitized with CDC approved cleaning supplies with known proven effectiveness against Covid-19. The office will also undergo a deep cleaning weekly.
Physical Distancing
As always, our PTs will only be seeing one patient at a time. We will be booking patients once per hour to ensure adequate time for treatment and cleaning. No patients will be in the waiting room. This is based on CDC guidance to abide by physical distancing.
